Today we began by remembering how wonderful it feels to receive a card. Some of the kids shared memories of birthday cards, holiday cards, thank-you cards, or little notes given just because, and we all agreed it would be a beautiful idea to make our
There’s a special kind of magic in letting kids create their own stickers. They naturally weave in the stories we’ve shared—animals, people—and everything happening in their world at home. At this age, anything they encounter
Have you ever loved someone: your mom, dad, a sibling, or a friend, so much, that you’d travel all the way to the moon and back for them? That was our prompt today, and the kids turned it into the sweetest stories and books.

One imagined trave
Today it rained, so our class turned toward houses and what it means to have a roof. We read an old poem about all the different kinds of homes: brick, mud, tiny, tall, and then each child drew and painted their own little house to place inside a box
Today in class we created new stories from history by cutting up pages from @natgeohistory and creating entirely new scenes. Each box took us somewhere exciting — from Perceval to the time of the Buddha and the Holy Grail, to ancient Cyprus, to
